Spying on backyard birds.

Mount Pleasant Mills, PA(Zone 5a)

Here are photos taken from the Wingscapes of birds at one of my feeders. The wind blew the camera a bit off its base, but the birds did not care.

Really cool GG...it looks like the birds (and squirrel) don't have a clue they are being photographed. I finally was able to check out the camera on Wingscapes and I think I will let DH buy me one for our anniversary present!!

What a great variety of birds and such a pretty feeder house. Love those Blue Jays that visit you and the Cardinals are so colorful.

Thanks. As soon as the weather clears a bit I want to set up a video.

That feeder is a favorite. I hope to make a couple more of them this summer with larger tubes.

Dellrose, this was the best investment I ever made. I cannot wait to spy on nests, and especially watch the little Titmouse as it tries to extract nest materials from the containers.

GG...looking forward to seeing your video! Now you really have me excited to get that camera. Last year I watched a Titmouse take the grassy liner from one of my planters. At times she would be upside down...it was so fun watching her!

Good ones GG! Looking forward to the video!

Pretty awesome indeed. Rose, man-o-man, wonder what you could find on that farm with that camera.

Real nice GG!

The camera is set up on video now. Lord knows what we'll get. We'll see.

Thanks Nanny.

Looking forward it!

I've really enjoyed the shots and look forward to the video.

When I unloaded the camera, there were 410 ten-second videos on the card!! EGads!!

I do not have software to tie video frames together and most sites are gnarly about movie format. So, here is the best I could do for now. You can play this as a slide show with sound. This is only a few of the pictures. I will post more as time permits.

The pop between frames is the camera shutting off and on. Hope the link works.

That worked out fine GG! They are very nice and I love hearing the Titmouse tapping the seeds on the wood!

Thanks for posting it!

Thanks Pelle. Those Titmouse cuties are wonderful! The pictures aren't as clear as the photos were, but that is partially because of the weather. I will put more up later.

Love those titmice taps too. ha. cute, cute, cute.

The Ozarks, MO(Zone 5b)

Very fun to see GG...I love the tap of the Titmouse too!

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Not working for me......

Wow, GG, even though the clips are brief, it's really great to be able to see these birds. The Titmice are so gorgeous and I love those Grackles. That's the first time I've heard the sound they make.

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

What kind of grackles are those?

Mount Pleasant Mills, PA(Zone 5a)

When I walk outside, the tap, tap of the Titmouse is so much fun to hear.

Those Grackles are nasty and noisy and eat all of the time! Marna, I have looked this up in different books and I think they are common Grackles, some bronzed and some purple. I leave that question up to those in the know, of which I am not one.

Marlton, NJ

Yep Common Grackles

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

Well it just looked like the tail was a bit bigger than mine. I'll have to pay more attention.
