Gull? What kind?

I don't have any gulls on my bird list b/c I just can't ID them. I decided it's time to learn about gulls, so I took this pic. However, I'm looking at the book and can't figure it out. Do you know what this bird is? I have 2 pics.

Looks like an immature ring bill to me.

First-winter American Herring Gull (1st-w Ring-billed is whiter below, and with a tail with a clearly defined black terminal band)

Resin has more knowledge than my field guide presents an after looking for a shot of an immature Ring-billed...he is absolutely correct.

This shot is of a Ring-billed...much lighter on the underside. Was with other Ring-billed's.
