I bought three crinum bulbs at a garden show. Should they be planted now? The person at the show said yes but all the online sources I find say wait until after the last frost. I've had them for a week and they have sent up new shoots that are about 3 inches long. Our last frost date is usually the second week in April. The garden center cut off the tops. I’m a little worried about rot where they cut the tops off. I live in zone 6.
Thanks
Crinum question
Yes, plant them now and mulch them well with leaves.
Since your ground does not freeze, you would be safe to go ahead and plant them now. If it's going to get down to the mid 20's, I would throw a sheet on them or mulch them, but they should be fine.
