Begonias - No Luck Propagating 2010

We were chatting about not throwing what we might think is a diceased plant out!

I was going to throw my Rex out shortly after they got the PM last year but I had set them aside and forgot about them. They were kindof tucked in on my shelves with other house plants so they actually got a little water now and then.

After the PM struck, I did the home remedy.. milk and water treatment... it helped and then it looked like it did not, so thats when I plucked all the ruined leaves from them contemplating the big toss out and got old geezers on them!

Well yesterday, much to my amazement, my four rex started sporting new growth! HA!

Well here is one of them!

I love this one, the red leaves are gorgeous! I am wondering now too, what its name is!

Got some fibrous root begonias on 5/1/10.

Semps are nice to add to the annual beds.

OHHHHHHH Blossom, I adore that pink Rex. I see Logee's has a sale on begonias and I did my thing. They had a rex but I am not sure if I bought it. Must look it up. Nothing as beautiful as this one you have. When you get any cuttings, could you let me know. I will be happy to purchase one or more from you. JB

J, I dont know if this thing is gonna do well. So far Its lucky to have revived, but will try to keep you posted. Im kinda slow on trading... got too many things on old Blossoms platter!

I do not want to trade, I will purchase a cutting if you can get one. I think it is really a beauity, If you can give me the name, maybe I can find one to purchase. The leaves look pink, yet you call them red. I do not want to cause you any additional work. Just information is fine for me at your convenience. Thanks for your trouble. JB
