Hi, just took this yesterday in a preserve in central florida. Blue-head vireo? In my florida book it looks like a solitary vireo.
CLOSED: Blue-head Vireo?
Yep!
'Solitary Vireo' is the old name for the species when Blue-headed, Cassin's and Plumbeous Vireos were all regarded as subspecies of just one species. After it was split up, they gave new names to each of the species it was divided into. Blue-headed is eastern, Cassin's is western, and Plumbeous southwestern.
Resin
Thanks for all the great help.
