Remember little Yoshi, the duck that our Silkie hen hatched. Here he/she is today. Little thing is growing so fast. Probably weighs about 2 pounds. Still spoiled rotten. It is feathered on the stomach but still has fluff on top but getting feathers quickly. Remember the picture where it layed upside down in my sons hand. Now it would take both hands and there would be lots of overhang, lol.
Awwwww what a beautiful baby! Tell lil miss silkie she has done a wnderful job raising her chick!

You can't believe the difference, I can't believe how fast it grows, that little bugger grows overnight....literally. I've even heard a more grown up quack every now and then. Unreal how fast they grow.
She_Wolfie the momma hen did a great job and is now back with the other hens. Yoshi stands up taller than her now and grew so fast we seperated them about 2 weeks ago I think it was. There are 4 Silkies sitting on eggs but so far she is staying out of it. Probably is afraid she will get another odd ball.
Hehehe well its a well deserved break for mama imagine what was going on in here lil mind as her baby outgrew her in a few days.I think im gonna try puttiing my duck eggs under a hen also.My silkies are not old enough tho but i have a few cochins who will be happy to get to keep some eggs!

Yoshi is VERY spoiled. Still wants to sit on my sons shoulder, but is a bit too large.
