Fuchsias spring look

Union, WA(Zone 8b)

This is what my large hardy looks like after it's spring pruning, done Mar 5th.

Everything pruned back to largest new growth or removed entirely.

Hard to tell what beauty they have in store, isn't it!? But we know that fuchsias are far more resiliant than most people know. For example, I was shocked when I learned that in many parts of the country, they are grown as annuals and thrown away in the fall!! I confess to be one of those people who has a hard time coping with all of the poinsettas and other plants grown for a season or occasion and then thrown away when they are capable of living for many years.
Keep us posted on the progress of these guys Willowwind2, you are providing valuable information here.
