What do you use?
Plant food for Daffodils
I have a local farmer who makes aged organic fertilizer compost.
This is a blend of natural forest products, rice hulls and steer + chicken manure.
I mix this into the soil when I planted my bulbs and then add a nice layer in the fall before the heavy winter sets in. In the Spring I lightly mix the compost in and allow the water to do the rest. I spread more throughout the growing season in my perennial garden. My hostas love this compost. And the colors of all my flowers are so vivid with this mix. I also give a bag of it to all of my buyers.
There are many nursery products on the market that is great for the soil, such as
Bulb Food. Worm castings are wonderful too.
Also, Avoid high nitrogen fertilizers as they are associated with bulb rot.
Hope this helps.
