part of my garden is fenced, some isn't. are there veggies deer won't go after that I can plant outside the fence?

I don't think they will eat onions or garlic or herbs unless they are starving
Rosemary, santolina, beebalm, lemon grass or lemon balm...will help protect the plants you do put in. I have also found that several of the heirloom tomatoes and a few of the historic cubes (white) have a scent they do not like. They may have to nibble a bit to find that out, but since the first couple of days, the deer stay away from those veggies on the fence...this year, I am putting hot peppers at the base of the vegs and see how they like that when they nibble!
i hope that doesn't get them so mad they just tear up the whole garden. LOL
If they get angry over that...they will move on to someone who doesn't plant the HOT stuff!
i understand they have long memories. LOL
