Okay, Mallards, male & female, too many BUT is this a mottled duck??? This was taken in central florida in April last year. Its the blue on the wing and the line through the eye that's confusing me.
Thanks
CLOSED: Ducks ugh
I'd say a Mottled - Mallard hybrid. It has a yellow bill, so it's a male; it also has a bit of green on the crown, and the curled tail coverts, both Mallard features, but while having predominantly 'female-type' plumage in a male, a Mottled character.
Resin
Thank you Resin, I really am trying to get a hang of this, then the birds have to go and get together and make it more confusing, ha ha.
