Well, it finally happened. I've been waiting for this. Saw this hawk out at Cooper Creek Park sitting in a tree overlooking some mallards.
I really don't know what it is, but I looked in my Kaufman book and think it may be a Red-tailed Hawk.
Instead of posting 9 pix, I made 3 collages. Should be enough to ID it.
What is it?

CLOSED: My first ever Hawk photo
Congrat's Hack!! and super job on your photo's! Immature Red-tailed Hawk
Congratulations, Hack. Nice shots. Looks like your hawk is preening after a bath.
Good photos! It does look awfully relaxed...
Thank you, Burd_Fotos for the ID and MargaretK and realbirdlady for the compliments.
MargaretK, come to think of it, it caught my attention when it flew up to the limb. Below it were the Mallards in the flooded area of the park - so, I bet it was recovering from a bath.
Hey realbirdlady, my son and daughter in law live in Austin, too - small world.
