As I was cleaning out my gh/hoophouse last fall I saw tons of aphids on the little bits of grass around the edges. Didn't get around to doing anything about them. Anyone have any advice for me on what I should do before moving plants in? Depending on the spring weather I try to move in about the middle of April.
pretreat for aphids?
Neem oil mixed with water and dawn works for me.
Bayer Tree and Shrub, mixed with water in a spray bottle, works well for me - just make sure you get the leaves (on both sides) and stems dripping wet AND water the soil with it, too. Keep in the shade, but not in the greenhouse, until dry.
you could use worm casting tea it will take care of aphids and white flies.
but it takes about a week to see any results
"whitebear" ps if you need to know how to make it let me know.
I have Bayer Rose and Flower on hand, will that work ya think? More snow due tomorrow so no hurry. Would it also any aphid eggs in the ground that may have overwintered?
