Tough day again today!

Crestview, FL

First off, it was a beautiful day outside, I put all my tomato babies out at 9:00 AM, retrieving them about 4:30-5PM when it started to get chilly. I've got about half of the 48 potted up now, the rest will get potted up tomorrow. I've been using coconut coir and 1 gallon grow bags for potting them up in, I'm soaking the coconut coir in 1 each teabag of chamille tea and one of compost tea. My handyman attempted to put up the greenhouse today, it wound up being 7 ft in heighth, 6 ft by 6 ft and now it leaks like a sieve, after paying him not the $250 he requested; but $300, he walked out on the job, so looks like I will have to find other means of finishing it, never again will I pay anyone up front like that for anything. Will get by without the greenhouse this year though.

The light at the end of the tunnel came though when UPS arrived with beautifully made pond baskets, more coconut coir and more 1 gallon grow bags --- thanks Bob, as always it's a pleasure doing business with you. I was happy and it came in excellent condition.

Good for you Joy! Sorry about the greenhouse scam but never pay anyone in full before the job is done and only after you inspect it! Sounds like you need a man around the house with a shotgun. LOL Meanwhile my clean-up work for today will have to wait as SOME CRAZY WINDY, THUNDERY WEATHER IS MOVING IN ON US. Another day for me inside sitting on my butt. Tomorrow I get paid (#SS) and I'm going to order one of those walkers that I swore I would never use but it is the only safe way to walk in my garden at this time as my post polio is getting worse as time goes by plus some of BocaBob's fertilizer as my roses love them.
Can't wait to plant my melon seeds in my EBs. Although I'll only have four for myself, I can plant sixteen melons. Four of one variety in each one. That will be enough for me as long as I can still garden! Have a good and peaceful day to all of my friends.

TPlant: Yep, it's almost time for me to be ordering some more of Bob's fertilizer too. I managed to get all the tomatoes potted up save 12, which will be potted up tonight. It rained today and so the plants didn't get their field trip; but this whole week looks sunny, so out to the deck they will go all week. I know it will be a lot of trips; but, it will be worth it when it comes eating time and I got tomatoes right? LOL

Don't feel bad, I got the starting of catarats two years ago so have to keep bright lights on all the time when I want to read. I'm only 55 too, that's bad isn't it? LOL

Yeah, I need a man around that I can pay to do the things I can't do and then allow him to go home after a steak dinner and not wanting anything more than that and cash payment. I'm learning to do some things on my own though, a few years ago I was afraid to hang a picture. I knew what a hammer looked like and a nail; but bringing them together right, just didn't occur to me, was afraid I'd put a hole in the wall instead; but look at me now. I'm making self watering containers, thanks to gymgirl right? My confidence has been boosted. Next, I'm tackling my own automatic watering system! I've actually bought a few tools, look out world I'm dangerous now.
