I have a trellis built against my firplace wall on the west side of my house. I thought it would get enough sun for a rose, but the trees shade the area. I didn't get any blooms at all. What flowering vine can take the shade there? I live in North East Texas--Gilmer area.
Vine for mostly shady area.
Chocolate Vine "Five Leaf Akebia"
It will produce fruit in the shade too.
Warning: they can be aggressive but will die back in severe drought.
