Tomato water temps

Kennard, NE(Zone 5a)

Thinking about installing (elevated) 100 gallon tank by garden.
Sun warmed water would gravity into trickle tubes.
Our tap water is 55F.
Tank would be refilled & allowed to sit for 1 day.
Then open valve & watering cycle starts again.
Some folks refill 2 litre bottles, I do not have time.
Input on advantages or disadvantages for tank idea?.

If the question is whether the temp of the water is of risk to the plants, I don't think so. The mass of the soil is so much greater than the mass of the water dribbling down that the soil temp would be barely changed.

I've heard of people using warm water for starting seeds and watering seedlings. I know rain is often ice cold even in the summer but doesn't seem to bother anything.
