What are these bugs in my begonia plant?

Lindenhurst, NY

I'm so upset to find that the 3 recently potted up rooted cuttings of plants I planted in Miracle grow potting mix all have bugs.

I checked 20 other houseplants I've had for years and they are all bug free...which leads me to believe these the bugs all came from this bag of miracle grow mix.

They are very tiny white/silverish crawly -- long and skiiny but very tiny. When I water the plants they start walking all over the surface.

These 3 cuttings all came from different plants, different friends and were all rooted separately at different times - so it's go to be the mix. What are these bugs and how can i get rid of them without killing my plants?

I'm going to complain to miracle grow company but want to first find out what bugs these are so I can give them the correct details.

thanks
If i wasn't crazy about this begonia that I rooted i would throw these plants out -- but i took so much care to root these plants and the begonia is sending up new leaves and it's so beautiful. I tried to put a pic here but my new laptop doesn't have a slot for a "mini cd" and my camera takes mini cd pics :-( I was hoping to get a name for this beauty. If i can load this cd into a friends computer i'll post it at another time.
tks

Hard to tell without a picture. Not necessarily the potting soil either. It could just be a natural thing or they just came in with the plants.

Anyway it sounds like springtails which are harmless (if that is what they are). If the soil is damp especially in a terrarium then more than likely that is what they are.
