This male Wild Turkey has been a daily visitor now since I first spotted him during the GBBC. So now I have to name him....he's Bertie. As you can see, he comes right up to the patio door to look in on us. He's probably also figured out that it's a bit warmer there and somewhat sheltered. Plus I leave a little pile of something right there for him. He was already pretty bold when we first met him....my husband had to get out of his car and shoo him out of the road back on Feb. 12th.

Very cute and smart to get closer to the house for warmth and food.
I just posted some photos that showed our turkeys were standing on top of the fence to eat from a bird feeder. I thought I'd always heard these birds weren't very smart!
well...I have spotted him down the road on the other side of a very busy street so that doesn't seem too smart to me! Yes, I saw your turkey on the fence pics....good stuff!!
That's neat! Hope he smartens up about the roads.
