Best seed sower

Dundee, IL

I have several beds of fine seeds to sow. My beds are 4 X16 and I have around 8 that will use fine seed.

1. I HATE to waste good seed by having to thin
2. I love the nice neat look of perfect rows you get from a four or six row pinpoint seeder.

I'm not getting younger and don't mind spending a little extra to keep my back out of traction. The pinpoint seeder looks like it would work well, but they are kinda pricey for a home garden!

I'm not sure how well a glasser seeder will work in a bed.

I'd appreciate any thoughts and suggestions as my knees and back are not looking forward to several hours of string, kneeling, and placing seeds the size of a pinhead one by one...

I don't really have any words of advise, but I have to say I loved your comments! I've had back problems and had the modern day equivalent of traction and it's not fun. I'd love to know a good seed sower as well!
