I had a great day...

Wells, TX(Zone 8b)

today was a good day for me.. I did so much outside Im going the baby step shuffle when I walk now.
It hurts but it was well worth it!!
I scored 25 wood windows for the greenhouse Im planning on building along with 2 screen doors, a full glass storm door and 3 glass shower doors.. Ive got another friend who is replacing his slider and hes promised me that along with more windows out of the old buildings hes tearing down on his property.. then he gave me an old metal head and foot board, a birdhouse on a post and an old garden gate..Hes got more stuff for me but he says but I have to wait till he can get to it.
Im so excited!!! I
after offloading everything I worked on my fountian Im putting in by the front door.. Ive got it mostly done. I just have to finish the base. I ran out of time. I did the leaf castings this past summer then my neighbor welded the stand.. I still have some tweeking to do but I think when the fern comes up behind it will look good.. Ive coral bells planted in front of it right now..it sounds wonderful
this is the fountain

What a score! Wow,....nice accents/functionality to be added to the greenhouse/garden,...for sure!
Your fountain turned out very nice! You're a fountain of talent...pun intended!

It is great to have all those pass-a-long treasures. I love your fountain! ...and hear you on the sore muscles. Had trouble getting out of bed this a.m. after the day in the garden.

There's nothing more healing that working in your garden! So glad you're able to get out and get some things accomplished. You've really scored some great stuff!

That gate would make a very nice small trellis... dreaming of new things yet again. Thanks for the inspiration.

I am wondering how to display this thing? I bought it for myself last Christmas. It is about 2.5 feet long x 1 foot and weighs around 15 pounds (maybe a bit more). First what is this tool? How can I display it safely without it falling on a plant or person? To me it looks like an animal mask with horns. The pic is a poor one.

blkraven2, your fountain is terrific! I am impressed.

newtonsthirdlaw, your iron contraption is a mystery to me, but when I first saw it, it looked like the pelvis and legs of an iron skeleton! Might be funny as the bottom half of a scarecrow, with some other iron stuff up top for the top half. Okay, that's a weird idea, but it's just what struck me on first look. I can see that turned the other way around, it does look like an animal mask with horns.

it is a cutting device of some sort. You hold onto the "horns" which pull apart and it has a cutting surface at the bottom, maybe for pipes or something. But its heavy and so I want to display it safely as art.
