Slow Day

Upland, CA

Last night I was considering purchasing some pan pots for my trailers..I recieved the trailers yesterday and they had to be repotted..I didn't want to spend a fortune on pots ..A few weeks ago I had ordered 5inch azalea pots..about 4 inches taller..so I trimmed the tops of these pots to make them look like mini pan pots..I put some regular tape around the edges ..not to damage the plants or myself..and the little guys look right at home..In a few months I will buy the 6 inch pan pots but for now they look okay..What do you guys think..

Sonia,
They look great--just the right size for a good while. Do you water all your plants from the top or do you wick?
Just curious. Your soil mix looks great.

Hi Spring..I water all of my AV's from the bottom..Glad you like it super easy..Thanks about the soil..I'm glad it looks nice and fulfy..I just mix equal parts ..Vermiculite, perlite and peat moss..super easy..I also use this mix on some of my house plants..I just throw in some regular miracle grow potting mix..

you have to start out with a small trailer, put it in a shallow pot & pin down the heads, you will need to take off some of the leaves to see the heads. keep the flowers off until it is established.i did let mine flower, but it was established. thats all i can remember, here is mine. chantaspring

Don't listen to mrsbonnie, she cheated and let her trailer bloom.LOL.LOL ^_^

Your pots look good.If I need a shallow pot sometimes I use a small potato chip dip container,I just give them a coat of green paint.

Personally I think that Fancy Trail would make a gorgeous display of course Ramblin' Lace would as well. Of course I've been eyeing Amandie Trail, Rob's Boolaroo and Rob's Liili Pilli myself but I'll have to wait til next month before I can buy anything...LOL
