Jan,
Here is a picture of one of the beaded plant hangers I found.
Picture of my beaded plant hanger for Jan.
Kim,what size beads did you use and I think fishing line goes by weight if I remember right???? So many questions ^_^
Ask all the questions you want Jan.
I use 30 weight fishing line and 8mm beads.
I start out with 4 LONG pieces, string about 12 beads over the 4 lines, then I take one and string over all 8 lines (this forms the loop at the top). Then I split it back into 4 lines of 2 and string down until you get to the section where the pot is going to sit. At that point you string on 8 lines. for a few inches and then back to 4 lines. Once I have the "holder" section as big as I need it I put 1 bead over all 8 strings (this closes the bottom) then I make tassels on the 8 lines under the pot and cut the remaining line and thread it through the beads so it doesn't show :)
Is that as clear as mud? *lol*
What I can do is once I have made mine, I will make you one and send it to you so you can use it as a pattern? It's SO hard to put into words and I'm sure it would be so much easier to just see and do. Mine won't take long to make.
