Went out to my GH this AM to start more seeds, peppers.
Now and hen I hear the sound of snow sliding off the roof, but out of the corner of my eye I caught a movement.
WOOO do I have a varment in here ? Well I sat still for a minute and then saw this...
Well I have no idea how he got in, I guess he drinks water from the trays I have the plants sitting in.
I ground up some rabbit pellets for him, don't know what he eats.
I'm sure someone can this bird ? Sparrow, Chickadee ?
In my Green House ?
Carolina Wren
Thanks for the ID , I found this :
They eat insects, found in leaf litter or on tree trunks; they may also eat small lizards or tree frogs. In winter, they occasionally eat seeds, berries, and other small fruits.
I have some bird seed, no insects, so he will have to make do.
Suet would be a good substitute for insects. I have some around, but rarely on the seed feeders. They are on the suet regularly.
They are curious little birds and will readily come inside if you leave a door open.
Really like peanuts too!
