Exotic hibiscus sources

West Palm Beach, FL

Greetings! I have 5 hibiscus plants in the ground and one hibiscus tree in a pot. The types I have are double pedal pink, double pedal red, mini orange, mini white, single pedal hot pink, and single pedal orange. I consider them the big-box Home Depot varieties, and am looking for something beyond that scope. I see all of the beautiful hibiscus you all post and am absolutely stunned and green with envy! I live in S FL just west of West Palm Beach, zone 10a. I appreciate the input. I want to plant more hibiscus but more of the same is not in my best interest!

Here are the places I've bought from--the first one is in Florida so if it's close enough you might be able to go in person. I've gotten nice quality plants from all three and they all tend to have a different variety of cultivars available.

I've seen others post that they've gotten nice ones from www.triedandtruehibiscus.com as well--they don't ship to CA though so I have no personal experience with them.

Just a note to say I don't think Robert (atouchofthetropics) has his plants online yet, but he did tell me he'll back up for business soon :-) He's just had some health issues...

Grantman, you'd better hurry up over to the Hibiscus Place, they've sold out of a lot of their hibs.

Yeah I noticed that on their website. I'm going to be placing my order this week. I believe they start shipping mid to end of March. Thanks for the links! Hibiscus place is in central Florida - probably over 3 hours drive from me. I'll let them ship the plants lol...

Yes, a grueling drive! I dislike being in a car more than ten minutes. Or maybe five.
