Hi Everyone,
In my particpation of the Great Backyard Bird Count this year I found this bird. I have several bird books and the information is conflicting. This is either an immature Little Blue Heron or a White Morph Little Blue Heron. Any info on this matter would be greatly appreciated! The only help I can offer more then the photo is that it hunted like it knew exactly what it was doing as opposed to a how a juvi would hunt but we all know - that's not exactly telling either!
Presume you meant to say "This is either an immature Little Blue Heron or a White Morph Reddish Egret" ;-)
It's a Little Blue Heron - note the green legs, whereas Reddish Egret would have dark grey legs
