Okay Ive had enough.. long post

I posted earlier about Grace reacting to dogs in my yard and how she has broken windows to get to them.. Its getting better but..... Yesterday my neighbor let her 3 dogs out and as usual they came into my yard to do their business and once again set Grace off.. This time a lamp got broke and that was it for me.. Id had had enough.. I went over to talk to her about the situtation and what WE could do to make it better for both of us. I was willing to help do what I could to make it better for both of us

Now this is not the first time Ive talked to her about her loose dogs. The first time I explained they were killing my plants by peeing on them.. spraying and marking cause they are all full males which in turns brings in other dogs to my yard. They were also getting in the others neighbors garbage. I got a vauge... Ill see what I can do which turned out to be nothing

Right away I told her I didnt want to be the nasty neighbor but she was going to have to do something about them..I kept my voice low and calm cause I know how she is..shes a screamer... I retold her all the things I had mentioned before.. Then she wanted know what I expected her to do..
My reply was keep them in your yard
her reply.... I cant afford a fence ..
my reply......I told her to get a long piece of clothes line and a clip and tie them to her front deck
her reply.... then there would be poop all over HER front yard
My reply was...do you think I want to clean up after your dogs ?? I clean up after my 2.. I dont want to clean up after 5 dogs..
She told me I needed to train Grace not to carry on
my response was Grace is in her house and her dogs were on my property uninvited
It just went on and on, back and forth till I just gave up. She just flat out refused to do anything with them
I explained to her we do have a leash law in the city, that she had to keep them leashedand in her yard under her control all the time. If I did file a complain this was how it worked
I file a formal complaint at the police dept
They serve her with the notice and give her 15 days to correct the problem...after that if I catch her dogs in my yard its a 500.00 PER dog PER day fine so it could be 1500.00 fine the first time out ...I told her a piece of clothesline and a clip was a lot cheaper than 1500.00
She told me I didnt know what I was talking about. Her last comment as I left was to do what I had to do.. Everyone else lets their dogs run loose so she was going to continue to do it too !!! great thinking isnt it???.
So Im going to city hall Tues and filing.. I HATE having to do this but shes left me no other option that I can see.... I HATE being the nasty neighbor but Im tired of cleaning up after her dogs, replacing stuff theyve killed, having to redo things in my flower beds and having Grace set off.
My question is Do you think Im out of line??? Do you have any suggestions for me???
I had to file against a former neighbor over his chickens in my yard so thats how I know how things work..and as soon as I did the chickens were not a problem anymore ... Imagine that!!! (smiles)
I dont care what animals people own, I just want them out of my yard... I keep my dogs in my yard is it so much to expect others to do the same???
