I was out trying to find a bird, other than my backyard friends, to add to by GBBC count. I saw this little bird very quietly working up and down the bottom third of several saplings and vines in a wet thicket. It would stick its bill into every dry, curled up leaf on the tree then it would drop down to the bottom of the next and search all over again.
It seemed to not even notice me and I never heard it make a sound.
It had a white eye ring, possible broken; no wing bars or streaking. Mostly an overall olive drab coloring w;/pale yellow underparts.
I was thinking possibly Yellow warbler but saw no belly streaking.
