Sorry, I've already cropped it a ton. I was walking down a narrow road watching a Bald eagle fly over this grassland when I scared this bird. I snapped this one shot before it started to rain. Any chance you can tell what it was?

Eastern Meadowlark. Told from Western by the extensive white in the tail, and the strong head pattern - quite a nice instructive photo!

Holy cow! You are amazing. That's so cool. I've never seen one. I wish I'd been paying attention to the road instead of -- well, no, I was pretty excited about the Bald Eagle!
