Not a good pic, the one on the left was still moving, but this is the only pic I got of it. The other one is common here.

Hi Linda, It's a Carolina Chickadee http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Carolina_Chickadee/id

NE Medina Co., TX(Zone 8a)

Thank you! And the other one?...I know it's really common, but I'm not sure and DH said it's something else!

Penfield, NY(Zone 6a)

I think the second bird is a female House Sparrow. I'm no expert but I get WAY too many House Sparrows 'round here so I see lots of them!

Agree.. Carolina Chickadee and Female House Sparrow

NE Medina Co., TX(Zone 8a)

Thank you!

Carolina Chickadee on the left for sure, but I think the one on the right is a Chipping Sparrow, not a female House Sparrow - look at the white eyebrow and black eye line. I think I see a rusty colored crown, too

Look at my pic. The bird on the left is a female House Sparrow and on the right is a Chipping Sparrow.

Which do you think looks more like your bird?

Come to think of it, it does look more like the Chipping Sparrow. I have a few other pics I took...they look like the same species to me...but what do I know anyway? My pics aren't real clear, my camera isn't exactly the best for bird shots.

I'm more of a plant ID person myself. One more.

Good call Hack!! After taking a better look and seeing the other shots I agree that it is a Chipping Sparrow.

Thanks, Burd, I probably wouldn't have caught it, but I've had many, many chippers lately. I see 'em all the time. As the pic I attached shows.
