Seriously 1 to 3 inches of snow in the Low Country??

Bluffton, SC(Zone 9a)

According to the weatherman we very well may get snow on the coast.

This global warming thing is brutal.

Augusta, GA(Zone 8a)

Hey it will be warm snow!

Kure Beach, NC(Zone 9a)

We may get snow also. Hey, if it's going to be this cold, might as well get some white fluffy stuff out of it!

I've had enough chill hours to grow apples this year. LOL. Maybe cherries??? Had the thought of growing a blood orange wonder if it would have liked or loved this weather?? I believe those need a good cold snap to really get their favor and color.

Orangeburg, SC

We've got it! Snow in Orangeburg, SC. It's supposed to accumulate 1"-3". Poor plants, they're all confused. Wasn't it sunny and a little warm a few days ago?

Kure Beach, NC(Zone 9a)

It hasn't been sunny AND warm here since Christmas!

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 9a)

Guess it depends on how you define warm. LOL

Ain't they purdy!
Now they're saying the snow may come tomorrow AM. We'll see....
The Wilmington Garden Sown is this weekend. I know the people putting it on are NOT happy right now! I'm going, couldn't keep me away. It's a great show.

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 9a)

Have fun, wish I could get to that show.

Kure Beach, NC(Zone 9a)

i went to the show today and it was a blast. There were a decent number of people there and hopefully there swill be more tomorrow. I went with a friend who used to work at one of the public gardens here in Wilmington. She knew a lot of people and we were total and complete plant geeks ALL day. Fabulous!

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 9a)

I am sure being a plant geek is a sign of higher intelligence.

Kure Beach, NC(Zone 9a)

Absolutely. In fact, I am completely convinced that I am a genius....

Not a huge amount of snow but the kids were impressed. Did have a classic comment for the South, "Hey Sydneee you have to wear socks to go outside in the snow."

That is classic - thanks CoreHHI!

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 9a)

No flip flops this time Syd. :-)

Bluffton, SC(Zone 9a)

Close but not flip flops. She also learned that getting wet and cold at the same time is not an enjoyable experience. LOL>

Poor child, I know the feeling. We tried to cut back a frost damaged oleander yesterday and sank up to our ankles in the most odoriferous muck. Nothing like standing water and rotting plant material. YUCK
