SIMPLE bread

Brewster, MN(Zone 4b)

Doesn't get any easier than this!

Beer Bread
2 2/3 cup self rising flour
12 oz. beer, freshly opened

Mix together just until flour is completely moistened. Scrape into lightly greased, standard bread pan.
Bake 375* for 55 to 60 min.or clean toothpick. Cool in pan for 5 min. before removing.

I made it once with regular beer and you could taste the beer a bit. Made it with light beer and you couldn't taste the beer at all. Would be good, I think, if you added a bit of cheese, onions and/or Italian seasoning. Has a biscuit like texture and cuts best when completely cooled.
