CLOSED: Mallard Female or Ruddy

I assumed early on that she is a mallard, but could she be a ruddy because of her off spring?

I would say Mallard. The bill doesn't look right for a Ruddy. We'll see. Nice pic btw, very sweet!

Everything points to mallard, not to ruddy duck.
