The pictures I have found of the Yellow-rumped warbler have a yellow spot on their head.
This is a bad picture of my little bird's head.
Could he be an immature birdie?

Older males in summer have the most yellow on top of the head, younger females have the least (often none). Young and winter males and old females intermediate.
