Poochie seed pod? If it is, I am kicking my heels together! Never had a seed pod before. Any tips on how to care for it until it ripens? How will I know when it ripens?

I posted a single flower last month, but now there are more. all on one flower stalk. defintiely a floriferous one! I have to put it in a huge wine glass in order for it to stand up. The one leaf must be 12 inches long (or it was until I whacked it off last weekend!) LOL

Here is a picture of the bloom from my new AV."Blue Tapestry". I love the way it is "splattered" with color. I appologize for the shadow in the picture. It was the only one out of six pics, that showed the true colors.

Fredericksburg, VA(Zone 7a)

Lynn... the first time I saw a photo of that Sinn. Leuc. about four years ago, I nearly died! I searched the internet over until I found one to buy.... and it's the same one in the photo. Sinn. Leuc. is a real easy keeper. I love the fuzziness of it! It keeps it's "hair" even after the leaves are larger than my outstretched hand. In the photo above, it's only about and inch and a half tall!

(Lynn) Omaha, NE(Zone 5a)

It's just beautiful Karen (is that correct)? I have never seen one in person, but I saw a gorgeous photo of one in bloom and it was to die for!! One of these days I will try one.Right now I am trying to decide if I have time and space to grow so many different Gessies,or if I should cut down to 2 or 3 different types.I have AVS,Streps.,Kohleria,Episcia,Sinns.,A few Columnea,a few Nemanathus,Chiritas and a few other odds and ends....and my space is limited LOL.
Great growing,
Lynn

You've got it Susan! Will put down a leaf today.

Andalusia, AL(Zone 8b)

Love those sinningia,I'm lucky enough to be growing both.Bonnie the fuzzy on yours and those pebbled leaves are so unusual.

Thanks for telling us Susan.I will check the baby streps today.Your chirita bloom is so pretty, love the leaves.

Nottingham, MD(Zone 7a)

Your Chirita, Susan, looks like my 'Nimbus'. The leaf pattern is the same and it is about to bloom for the first time under my care:) Will post pics when she finally does.

Fredericksburg, VA(Zone 7a)

Wow Mrs Bonnie, that is fuzzy! It has a beard!

Danville, VA(Zone 7a)

I don't know the name of it off hand but on the Yahoo group Thad said what it could be also and I think you are right.... Please let me know if you find any bugs as I have gone over and over and I have not found a bug on a strep.... I hate ebay people who send bugs when they know they have them... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Hugs,
Susan

Horrible, horrible, horrible service. I will not order from that vendor, ever. Do they know how much of a nuisance it is and how devastating an infestation can be to someone's collection? Wish there were a BBB for online vendors. LOL
