Has anyone heard from Gran? I've been watching the news and saw AR has been getting hit pretty bad the last few storms and more on the way.Hope all is well.
She was posting on the begonia forum--I saw this AM--"assumed" it was today...better check...
Please do Jan!!
That's a good sign.If she's posting she must have electric and internet,2 most important things. Now if Miss Nichole would pop in once in a whileeven just to say Hi ^_^
Shanika,How are you faring with all the snow up there? I saw on the news the grocery stores are running out of food!
'Where's the beef?' Seriously...I saw one report where the woman said her store was out of beef!
Hi!!!

mrsbonnie
Well, just finished dis-budding and repotting about 30 violets . . . gonna miss those blooms! Good thing I took a few pix first! Before I post those, though, lunch and a shower!
Love your Smithy Jan!!
Great pictures.I love the fuzz on your Sinn.
Lynn
Lynn... the first time I saw a photo of that Sinn. Leuc. about four years ago, I nearly died! I searched the internet over until I found one to buy.... and it's the same one in the photo. Sinn. Leuc. is a real easy keeper. I love the fuzziness of it! It keeps it's "hair" even after the leaves are larger than my outstretched hand. In the photo above, it's only about and inch and a half tall!
It's just beautiful Karen (is that correct)? I have never seen one in person, but I saw a gorgeous photo of one in bloom and it was to die for!! One of these days I will try one.Right now I am trying to decide if I have time and space to grow so many different Gessies,or if I should cut down to 2 or 3 different types.I have AVS,Streps.,Kohleria,Episcia,Sinns.,A few Columnea,a few Nemanathus,Chiritas and a few other odds and ends....and my space is limited LOL.
Great growing,
Lynn
Hello All,
All the pictures are beautiful... Oh Shanika please grow me a leaf of the purple one as it is just beautiful.... I grew this chirita from a leaf and when I went to seperate it found it was going to bloom... So will wait to take apart until she is done blooming..
Also ladies who I sent baby streps to.. Anna has found mealy bugs from my plants.... I checked them before sending and did not see a thing but I did find on little cotton fuzz on a pet plants I got off ebay... Just a warning... If you did get them from me I am very sorry...
I am off to bed and dead...
Hugs,
Susan
You've got it Susan! Will put down a leaf today.
Love those sinningia,I'm lucky enough to be growing both.Bonnie the fuzzy on yours and those pebbled leaves are so unusual.
Thanks for telling us Susan.I will check the baby streps today.Your chirita bloom is so pretty, love the leaves.
Your Chirita, Susan, looks like my 'Nimbus'. The leaf pattern is the same and it is about to bloom for the first time under my care:) Will post pics when she finally does.
Wow Mrs Bonnie, that is fuzzy! It has a beard!
I don't know the name of it off hand but on the Yahoo group Thad said what it could be also and I think you are right.... Please let me know if you find any bugs as I have gone over and over and I have not found a bug on a strep.... I hate ebay people who send bugs when they know they have them... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Hugs,
Susan
Horrible, horrible, horrible service. I will not order from that vendor, ever. Do they know how much of a nuisance it is and how devastating an infestation can be to someone's collection? Wish there were a BBB for online vendors. LOL
