Thanks, everyone, for your Birthday wishes. It is a 'big' one for me. I'm now 75, and starting to feel my age. I haven't been on the forum for a few weeks, because of all the outside plants that froze. I lost quite a bunch of orchids, hoya, and lots of different rhipsalis and succulents. They were all covered and under blankets and quilts. It was just too cold for too long. I'm not sure if I'll replace any of them. I am so sad to see them all frozen. I haven't dumped any yet. Hoping for them to come back. My hubby says that they're gonners. I think he's right. I'll have to watch the round robins in the spring and see if I can replace any of them.
Right now, I found some mealies on some violets, so I have to go thru all of them. They were a little neglected during the holidays. I think I will replant all of them into fresh soil, just in case of any that are in the soil. Is there a way to treat 'soil mealies'? other than replanting?
Thanks again for your birthday wishes.

Oh Eileen, I am so sorry you lost your plants. This weather has been so crazy this year. I LOVE tropicals and love the plants you mentioned. I have been able to get a couple of NOID hoyas through trades last year and I have a rhipsalis. I don't have Orchids and others yet. Oh, I want some Plumerias so bad...ok, back to the subject lol. If you are okay with NOIDS, I can clip off a start from each of my 2 hoyas and share with you along with a start from the rhipsalis. I should have some A.V. leaves to share with you also.
