have you read the latest

I don't really see the need for everyone to jump ship. Isn't it better to watch for a while and to see what happens? If everyone quits subscribing the the site is closed, no one wins. As far as I've read, Dave has said that he may have some hand in the site.

Wasn't the site sold? Why are people acting like it's been stolen?

I renewed my subscription at the beginning of the month. So I'll have almost a year to decide whether to renew next year. Thank you for the link, imzadi. This venture, Dave's Garden, was a business long before Dave sold it. Maybe people didn't think of it as such because there was so much member participation, but it was a business. Many entreperneurs are great at setting up and getting a business going , but not neccesarily great at running it so they sell and start something else. Dave is an exception to that. He is also great at running it and at working the changes in smoothly. As for "people acting like it's been stolen", maybe tunnel vision? Knee jerk reaction?

I've grown as a gardener since I joined Dave's. Dave made it possible, but the greater thanks I have to give is to all the wonderful members who took the time and had the patience to share their knowledge. Without them Dave's would be just another garden site.

I too have learned much and just plain enjoy Dave's. I've not been a member that long, maybe a year. I appreciate the work that goes into it and the people that are willing to take the time to share experiences. I'm sure I will re-up at least once more to give the whole thing a chance to settle.

I agree with everything you said, Veronica. Dave created a great site and was great at running it. But almost all of the growth and knowledge I have aquired has been from patient and generous members... Members like you!

Thank you for the complement Carol. I wouldn't have all that knowledge if I hadn't gotten it from other Brug members. I'm just passing it along. :-)

So true! Same for me, as I have been able to offer help now only because someone helped me... It's the circle of life...
