Very nice sharp photo of a neat predator. He/It is waiting for a slow flying small bird. I finally have again a pair of chickadees and I sure hope a sharp shinned hawk doesn't come by and scare them away or worse.

Thank you for the nice replies. Donna, I hope your little chickadees stay safe. They're one of my favorites! Yes, this hawk was hunting. Right after I took this photo, he took one of my little sparrows on the ground beneath the bird feeder.
