Bloody Egg

I have gotten 3 bloody eggs in the last week. Is that my young Sebright hen laying her first eggs?? All 3 hens are fine

Very possible, and also quite common. Last year I had one of my crevecoeurs die while laying her first egg. That is really unusual but some of them do have a hard time with it. I was raised with six sisters and I remember how some of them had terrible times with delivery while with others it was a breeze. Go figure, chickens and most animals that I know of are in some ways just alike yet in other ways are so different. Hope you have a great week. Hay
