Self Watering Pots

Went shopping today and came across these brand new self watering pots..$4.99 each ...I think there about 4 inches..they had some beauitful colors..I ended up picking up 3 ..I'm more into the nutral beiges and greens.. if you have a local Tueseday Morning store near you check it out..I also picked up some beautiful pansy rings last week..for floating flowers..I may go back tomm..and get 2 more..
The 2 on the ends ar round and the center one square..Love it..Do you guys think I paid too much..

pretty pots, i know walmart sells some, solid colors for the same price.i think yours are prettier.

Just be sure to put extra perlite in your potting mix and not add too much water to the resourvour. Sometimes they keep the soil too wet. Just keep an eye on them for now and see how it goes. Remember damp, not wet.

I had one that did the opposite and didn't let enough water in and the plant was always dry. I lost that plant eventually because I had to add water to the top and I added too much. I love the looks of these but think I'd use them as a cache pot instead of using them to water my plants.

Thanks guys for the great advice..I don't think I'm going to directly pot them into the container..I may just plunge the container and just pull it out when it's time water..I picked up some really nice AV this afternoon my 1st mini..I am so hooked..
