The Arkansas Army Corp of Engineers did their annual eagle count on Beaver Lake last week, and they found one particularly unusual eagle in the group. Here are some photos of the eagle from the Arkansas Democrat/Gazette.
Photos of rare eagle
They say that this is a leucistic Bald Eagle. I just thought some of you bird lovers might enjoy seeing these photos.
Fascinating and beautiful. Thanks for sharing these photos. We had a leucistic hawk here last year, but I've never heard of an eagle like this. Sure would be wonderful to photograph such a bird.
Thanks for sharing it with us chico!
Thanks for posting this. Amazing photos!

Now that is a neat looking bird!
Hello, chic....great to see another Arky on here! :)
Wish I could have seen that eagle...I've seen leucistic hawks and sparrows down here.
Beaver Lake has eagle watching tours every year. I don't know much about them because I have never checked into going on one. My luck probably wouldn't work to see this eagle anyway. I believe the Corps of Engineers said they counted 135 eagles on the lake this year.
