Healthy Lifestyle Support Thread Jan. 22 - 29, 2010

Hughesville, MO(Zone 5a)

Hey folks, we topped 100 posts again last week!!! We added a new member to the family, heard from Vickie after her back surgery, Tina made nice long posts, Vic & Hank have most of the floors done in the newly remodeled upstairs of their house, Anna bought a new camera, Ronnie's Alica & her family really need our prayers and support, Kota is still with us, and the list goes on and on. It's really great to hear so much news from everyone. And believe it or not you lurkers, all this 'off topic' stuff is very related to our healthy lifestyles. It gives us a chance to rejoice with some, pray and weep with others, joke and tease among ourselves, and generally have good family times. Whatever you do in life, it affects your lifestyle. Stress, especially negative sress causes your body to produce more cortisol which leads to weight gain.

It has been a long day for me and I'm about to go to bed. I didn't think I could make it to the cafe' due to severe pain in my right thigh but GOD was good and I found I suddenly had no pain & was able to go. I'm glad I did because we had 80. That was a really good night for once.

Little Porcy seems to be a bit more perky and alive(?)than even this morning. I think the warmer inside air is helping him. He isn't eating as much as I think he should so tomorrow I will let him loose in the utility room or kitchen and see of more freedom helps him. I don't recall if I have ever heard him crow even outside. He may have and I just didn't hear him or remember it. He certainly isn't as vocal as my golden boy. I gave him some lettuce and a grape tomato tonight when I got home.

GOD bless and keep each of you.
