New to this plant, question??

Flora, IN(Zone 5a)

I have a couple of this type of plant and they are new to me.
This one in question is Black (??something ) taro
Well at least that is what I remember, my tag is in the garden shed and I cant get there too much ice.
So here is the question.
I just noticed tonight that from the leaf tips it is dripping.
Is that normal?

Almost every leaf has a droplet even the tiny new ones near the base.

That is totally normal; it is a phenomenon known as "guttation" and occurs when the water pressure within the plant is great enough to require the plant to release the pressure through specialized cells called "hydathodes". Usually it happens when the humidity is high enough so that evaporation of water from the leaf does not keep up with the water coming up from the roots.

Wow thank you so much , I love to learn new things about plants .
I am sure I will not remember the words for the process but I do understand.
again
thank you ^_^
