Pregnant Onion blooming (question)?

My pregnant onion plant is blooming.
Will it die after bloom , like some plants?

Gardengus ~ not to worry. It will not die. It is a bit messy when done blooming and sheds petals. It will actually make seed. I've never tried to save the seed as the bulbs reproduce so readily. Enjoy your blooms... pod
