Whooping cranes made it to warmth

Gainesville, FL(Zone 9a)

I saw this in the paper this morning. Im sure you birders know all about it. I have a slight memory of seeing this on the news, now that I read it. I find it really interesting. I really wanted to see the whooping crane costume tho.

That is cool. I think I first read about this practice many years ago, while I was still teaching high school.

That's very sad Iris. I do hope this flock and the others to follow will all make it just fine.

I know now that I know they come right thru town almost, I will look for their progress each year. Heck, even if they take a different route. Its pretty amazing.
