Fairwell to Sydney

Just learned that my first grand-dog, Sydney, has crossed the rainbow bridge.

I've never been a dog person, preferring cats instead, but Sydney joined my daughter and her husband before I had grandchildren. She was about 11 and had been failing the last little while. She truly was an exceptional dog and wonderful companion for all of these years and I grew to love her.

Here she was in 2002 with DD and DGTwins, looking fiercely protective.
