I could not help myself on Friday afternoon. Something came over me and I placed an order for an "unspecified" number of AV leaves from the Violet Gallery. Shame, shame, shame. Now I have to buy another shelf to accomodate the new lot. More lights. More pots. More perlite. More vermiculite. I've already told my husband where I'm putting the new shelf. He just rolled his eyes up in head and shook his head as if I were some pitiful thing. LOL I'm so glad he understands my passion for plants!

I haven't placed my orders yet, but I have one heck of a list ready to go. My husband pretty much gave me the same look you described when I showed him the picture of the lighted plant stand I want to order from IGS. It holds 16 Perma-Nest trays. I have big plans for it too.
Can't wait for spring!

I wanted to order early this year so that I have to accept less substitutions. I was disappointed, though, that they no longer carry Kei-Yoki, as this is the number one AV I want now! I couldn't even find it on Teaz site, LL, and of course not Robs. Anyone have other vendor suggestions of where I might find leaves of this one?

If you are going to order from IGS, try the new taller domes with the built in vents. They are absolutely great. I got them with my last order and I'll never order the old style domes again. They are very sturdy and will last you a very long time. The built in vents mean no more propping up the domes for ventilation. You just simply adjust the 2 vents on the top of the dome to suit your needs. I plan to replace all of my old domes with the new ones.

I saw Kei Yoki recently on the Purplesky website. I was writing a list of the things I want and who has them but I didn't actually place an order yet. This was one of the things I wanted.
Someone else told me about a woman who doesn't have a website but emails what she has every week and I got her email last week and she has kei Yoki too. Her name is Linda Rowe and her address is bloominjungle@frontiernet.net.

I do have kei yoki, so if you want leaves just let me know,when it warms some i have them, also anyone looking for mini violet leaves, just send me your list as i do have quite a few of these violets & several trailers also,hate to see you pay for them if i have them.

Wow. When I got her list last week or maybe the prior week I just noticed she had some but didn't think I needed to get it that minute! Guess I'll be begging a leaf from someone too unless Purplesky has them when they open in the spring. Mrs Bonnie you are so sweet to offer that. I do have a few semis and minis on my list so maybe I'll send it to you and see if you have any of them.
i do have a nice size plant of kei yoki, so anyone who needs leaves let me know.

Last year I had a Yoki and a Kei Yoki. They took forever to bloom the first blooms . . . I don't have either anymore. I don't have the space for plants that won't bloom, even if I did pay lots for them.
Oh I can't wait until have so many plants that I don't have room for ones that are uncooperative and don't act the way they are supposed to. Today I placed an order so I'm sure I will get to that point more quickly than I think. I only ordered five plants and I just want it to get warm so they can get here and then I'll have more things to share with everyone.
