I'll trade! When I get home, I'll check my seeds and post a list. One variegated plant I have tubers of is peruvian lily.
So, what's the flower?? Look like something I may just need!

Hi Barbie!

Cypella Coelestes is the plant pictured, they are bulbs I grew from seed. I do have some of the seeds, it took 2 years to bloom from seed and some patience for them to germinate, but well worth it

is it the variegated hymenocallis (littoralis I think) you have?

Raleigh, NC

In going through my seeds (time to clean out!), I noticed I still have some Penstomon canescens (Eastern Beard Tongue) from last year or the year before. Someone wanted some of these, but it appears I have plenty, if you are interested Trop. I don't need anything in trade, just hate to waste things. Not much info on this plant, as it isn't widely available, but I believe it might need cold stratification to sprout. Google it, see what you come up with if you are interested.

I'm pretty sure the police would end up in my yard if I grew a bunch of that. If nothing else the neighbors would have something to talk about. LOL>

Clemmons, NC(Zone 7b)

Hey everyone,

yotedog, I would take you up on the penstamon, but I haven't had much luck with growing them from seed, something always eats the seedlings here. thanks for the offer, that is so sweet, it really is a pretty plant

still up for trading :)

Raleigh, NC

would pomegranates grow in zone 7b?

Kure Beach, NC(Zone 9a)

Well, Trop, I have plenty more--just haven't taken the time to dig in my "stores" and find out. Will look to see if anything else is+-* (sorry, cat walked on keyboard..) looks like it might be interesting.

Clemmons, NC(Zone 7b)

....I am intrigued....lol!

yote, if there's anythign else you want I can send it to you. I did want to tell you that the buddleia lindleyana you gave me put out a variegated branch, it seems so far to be holding it's color. It doesn't look sick or viral, I really nice white margin around the leaves. Ever notice this on yours? I was pretty excited

Raleigh, NC

WOW--I'd be ecstatic! Very intriguing.

Nope, nothing on mine, and I have two. I'd keep an eye on that one. Might have a new Tony Avent special! I heard a lecture by the son-in-law of R K Witherspoon (Witherspoon Roses, Durham) at the Raulston Arboretum this week. The first rose they ever introduced originated from a one branch sport on a rose bush that someone just happened to notice. Go figure...would have been so easy to miss. They took some cuttings and the rest is history--the white hybrid tea 'R K Witherspoon' is born. (The irony being that, apparently, this sport occurred just after the real RKW died, and right around the time of what would have been his birthday).

Clemmons, NC(Zone 7b)

...hopefully I don't kick the bucket before I get cuttings....

Raleigh, NC

Oh, were you planning on kicking the bucket? Tee hee hee hee....

Clemmons, NC(Zone 7b)

;) well, I was hoping not anytime soon...the rose story got me thinking about a garden legacy....lol!
