armenian cucumbers

West Islip, NY

I am thinking about what to plant this summer and I'm wondering if anyone has had succes with growing Armenian Cucumbers. I tried them last year in addition to my favorite Persian Cucumbers but I got nothing from the vines. Any suggestions of another to try? I get my seeds from Renee's Garden and they have others that interest me but I hate to waste my limited space.

Check the thread below-"which cucumber should I choose?" there's some info on Armenian- I personally love them- they may be hard to get started for some unknown reason, but they are delicious-crunchy, nitter-free, and just plain good!

Here is the thread where we were discussing Armenian cukes. I have excellent success with them here in the desert. They perform very well in the heat where other cukes croak...

Did you have vines and male/female blossoms? Could have been a lack of pollination?

They are really a melon that we use as a cuke, they grow great here also. I get my seeds from rareseeds.com.
