H retusa

Teguise, Spain

Does anyone else find their H retusa molts leaves in the winter? Last year I thought it was on its way out, and took loads of cuttins, yet it perked up again in the spring and now I have several pots full...its doing the same this winter, but Im not unduly worried this time. I was just wondering if this was normal behaviour ??

I call that plant H. refusa because it refuses to grow well for me. Ted Green has a big pot full of it, beautiful thing, and I try to grow it the same way and it 'refuses' to.

I'm going to decline to comment in case it jinxes the lovely growth mine has. Yeah, right. Very bright light, water it once a week. Didn't skip a beat when I transplanted it out of semi-hydro. Very happy plant back about a foot in a south-facing window. Got the cutting this past June. But don't forget, this plant has a Canadian latitude, Canadian weak sun right now and of course, Canadian pride! So, to answer your question, no, at this point, I'm noticing no molting of its leaves at all.
