only just beginning

well i managed to find this site through my mom (wantabegardener) she has been bragging about this site and i thought that i would check it out. I'm also from michigan, riverview to be exact. riverview is 20 miles SE of detroit. i enjoy perenials that dont take over and dont require a lot of work. i also have a pond in my back yard that i enjoy. only thing is that i have to fence it off to keep my lab out of it. seems like everytime he manages to sneak in the fence he ends up jumping in and i have to pull all my plants from the bottom of the pond. just picture it...get the pond looking picture perfect one minute then splash-90 pound dog right in the middle searching for a place to get out. i'm excited to here from all you and hope to learn a bunch!!! looking forward to spring LOL

Hi, LW! Boy can I relate to the lab story. Have two of them. If it weren't for their underground fence, they'd treat my ponds as their private swimming holes :)

Glad you made it Daughter....You will love it here...Everyone is just great...Yes your dog is something else...he has your pond to play, and when he comes to visit, he has our lake to swim in....Maybe that is where he got it from...Stay tuned...your going to learn a lot...like your old mom and dad is....have fun, and get into the dirt and get dirty...Never thought I would say that...hehehe...
