Dear Garden Angel:
Thank you for sending me this exquisite and very intricate violet. I promise to take care of her, love her and never let her go. I love surprises in the mail and this is one of the best I've EVER received. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Shanika
P.S. I shall call her by her maker's name.:))))))))))))))
My New Violet...Isn't She Lovely?

Yes I agree and now mine has a wonderful name too! I will try to get picture posted to share her too.

If I have forgotten any regulars on this forum and you would like one of the beaded AV plants please send me a d-mail.I have extra supplies and enjoy making them. All you need is the small pots.I'm all out of them ^_^
Jannich, they are wonderful!! Such talent!!
I don't think anyone liked them, Jan. Everyone LOVED them :) LOL!!!!! I know you worked hard to make those pretty little things and we ALL love and appreciate you :))))))
Amen! We not only appreciate your craft talent, but your Gessie knowledge as well! You are one special lady Miss Jan!
I truly believe DG is one very special place with many generous and kind gardeners! In my opinion, you are all special blooms in this garden!
I think they must be sporting to be blooming in so many different colors!
I can't imagine working with so many tiny beads! Great job Jan!
tish
I also agree with Lin, The blooms here are wonderful... Some days you all seem more like family to me then my real family...LOLOL
Love and Hugs,
Susan
I agree with all of the above....Amen!!
Jan,
Would you like a bunch of clay thumb pots for your crafts?? I will have to look, but I think I still have them from when I was growing Cacti and Succulents from seed.
Lynn, Lynn, Lynn....if Jan doesn't want them....save them for painting!!! Those are what I used for the windchimes. You can also use them to make little bodies of angels. You can do all kinds of crafts with them. Jan, That can be your first project :) Lord, Lynn, now you have me in the craft mode. UGHHHH!!!
I love to look at everyone's creations, but I just don't have the time and energy to do it myself anymore LOL.
I also have tons of old garden catalogues with great pictures if anyone uses them for decoupage pots.
It's beautiful Lin!!
Thanks, it was pretty when it was first done. I sprayed it with a few coats of clear coat but the sun down here is so intense it really faded out within one season. Next time, I will leave it in the shade.
Very pretty Lin, I use to be very crafty... Now I am suppose to have more time but for the life of me I can't find it...LOL
Hugs,
Susan
PS. Lin, how is the young Phlio doing? My mother plant died can boy was I glad I took a cutting and it is root ing now...
Oh Susan, my "Pink Princess" that you gave me is doing well ... not a lot of pink in the foliage so I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I love it and it's growing, so I won't complain. I will take a picture of it in a minute but first I thought I'd share this little craft project that my husband and I made a little while ago! It was sleeting here today from before 7 a.m. until noon, I've never seen anything like it in the 43 years I've been in Florida. There was still enough ice out at about 6:30 this evening so we made this little guy ...
Lin,
That is so cute... We had 8 inches of snow then sleet on top of it two weeks ago... Strange weather we are having...
PPP will get more pink as she ages... She like a grow stick to climb up... I am just happy I took a cutting... :-)
I am in bed now sipping my whisky and sugar to help the cough...LOL So if I type wrong later you all will know...
Hugs,
Susan
ROFLMBO! The strongest thing I drink is coffee, but your cough medicine sounds better, it would probably warm me up, LOL. I remember when we were kids and had a bad cough my Dad gave us whiskey and honey on a spoon ... and it worked! ^_^
Thanks for the tip about Pink Princess getting pink as she grows, I didn't realize that! You know I love pink so I will be watching and waiting for the color on this one! I do have one of those coco fiber posts somewhere that I had it on and then re-potted and don't know what I did with the totem! I do plan on putting it back on one so it can climb ... I know it will be happier with something to cling to.
Well, I'm going to put another log on the fire ... stay warm and get over that cold! You said you are going to visit Kimmie next month and you don't want a relapse!
I am not a big drinker... BUT if I have to drink whisky it is a very good one... It is not settling in my stomach so it went down the drain.... I have to be better before going to Kim's... I got my tickets already...LOL
Hugs,
Susan
Well, you know I will keep you in good thought and prayer ... take care of yourself and I hope you feel better soon! Say Hi to Kim for me!
I am taking care of myself... I just wish when I am on steroids my body could sleep... I will always remember the first time I flew to Kim's... I had the tickets before she knew I was coming...LOL
Night for now
Hugs,
Susan
